A lead-off single by Wily Taveras, followed by a sac bunt led to Taveras in scoring position with one out. A single by the next batter, Joey Votto plated Taveras and scored the first run for the Reds in the series.
Edwin Jackson and Arroyo both took over for the remainder of the game with Jackson fanning eight batters and allowing two hits while Arroyo fanned nine and gave up four hits.
With former playoff hero Bronson Arroyo throwing a shutout gem into the bottom of the 9th inning, it took some magic from the Tigers to make up a 1-0 deficit.
Ramon Santiago singled to start the rally followed by another hit by Sean Casey.
With two on and no outs, Curtis Granderson attempted to bunt the runners over before Arroyo baited him out of the zone and he struck out bunting.
Miguel Cabrera came up with a chance to be the hero but instead after working the count, he struck out on a high fastball. Two outs...

...Playoff hero Mark Reynolds to come to the plate with the intention of hitting something hard anywhere. A first pitch fastball for a strike put him in the hole immediately, followed by a ball out of the zone to even up the count. The same sequence again led to a 2-2 count with the game on the line.
Arroyo, tired and losing his stuff quickly, threw a curveball that lacked any bite and was tatooed into the right-center field gap...
off the top of the wall for a game winning two-RBI double!

Mark Reynolds finished the playoffs batting .306 with 5 of his 11 season home runs and was named playoff MVP.
Congrats to all those that finished their games, made it to the playoffs, and especially to Madpug for making it past a tough National League.
