4/11 Roster Highlights By: 2K Insider | Monday April 13 2009 Latest News - With the regular season winding down, several playoff teams are making final adjustments to their lineups. The Lakers are poised for a serious championship run now that all their troops are healthy. Andrew Bynum was the biggest missing piece before last week, but now he's back and looks good in the paint. The Cavaliers also got healthier on their front line with the return of Ben Wallace who had missed 21 games with a broken leg. The Spurs received bad news this week, learning that Manu Ginobili will miss the rest of the season with a stress fracture in his troublesome ankle. It does not appear that San Antonio will continue its streak of winning championships in odd years. The Heat's Udonis Haslem has stitches in his thumb that will cause him to miss the remainder of the regular season, however the team is expecting him back for the start of the first round. Carl Landry is back on the court for the first time since sustaining a gunshot wound to the leg. The Rockets will rely on his energy off the bench and are no doubt grateful for his return. Peja Stojakovic is back in the Hornets' starting lineup after sitting out 15 games with a back injury. The Celtics got some backcourt depth now that Tony Allen is healthy again. Boston hopes that he will provide a defensive spark off the bench ala James Posey last season. Al Thornton has had a productive season for the Clippers, but he has been shut down due to a torn tendon in his shoulder. Surgery is not required so he should be ready to go at the start of next season. Andris Biedrins was out for 12 games with a sprained ankle, but he is back in action despite the fact that Golden State is lottery bound. Monta Ellis was shut down with a bone bruise in the same ankle he injured last summer in a moped accident, an ominous sign of what was to come for the Warriors in 2008-09.
Biggest Movers - Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni put a lot of faith into second year player, Wilson Chandler, who responded well to the uptick in playing time. His all-around play was encouraging for Knicks fans who have been looking for something to cheer about in recent years. Perhaps his most valuable asset to New York is his ability to defend the perimeter, something every team could use more of. Golden State rookie, Anthony Randolph, showed flashes of brilliance despite inconsistent minutes from Don Nelson. You have to love his ability to rebound and eagerness to block every shot in his vicinity. Mike Conley had a rough start to this season, but was happy for the coaching change in Memphis. He showed his ability to run an offense effectively while knocking down perimeter shots the second half of the year. Jermaine O'Neal is not the dominant low post threat he once was in Indiana, perhaps the result of leg injuries that has hampered his mobility. He is still a solid shot blocker, but his defensive rebounding has been weak this year. This is something he will need to improve on if the Heat are to make any noise in the playoffs.
Ohhh, by the way here is something i posted elsewhere. I only want to show this post so that others who think it's OK to act this way, well...don't People think they an talk to others anyway they see fit, until the one being abused pushes back! This seems to be the case in reading through the posts involving DC and Insider. Anytime you put a person down over and over again you run the risk of backlash. This is only a normal human response.
If you have a problem with the man and what he does it's best to keep it private. Putting somebody on heavy blast with gripes over a video game is bush league and very immature. PM the guy when being ultra critical, believe it or not he appreciates that way more than you trying to make him look bad to everybody.
Common sense and better judgement means you're not banned from the blog. Instead you run here and vent like a female to her girlfriend's. And i should know being a girl myself.
Let it be known Insider, i am not putting a shield in front of you or anything of the sort, for i have had my beef with you here and there, but there is a limit. And, for every gripe i have had, i have also 3 or 4 positive things to say.
Keep up the good work
Caron Butler has struggled out the gate averaging 16.8 ppg on 0.397 FG% over 8 games. Perhaps he won't struggle as much when Antawn Jamison finally returns to the lineup.

Los Angeles Lakers - Andrew Bynum
Andrew Bynum is holding it down in the middle for the Lakers with 20.3 ppg, 11.8 rpg and 1.8 bpg averages. It's nice to finally see the young big man healthy and productive after some unfortunate injuries in recent years.

New York Knicks - Toney Douglas
Toney Douglas has provided the Knicks with bench scoring over the last few games. No doubt Mike D'Antoni is frustrated with Chris Duhon's lack of scoring this year.
