3/20 Roster Highlights By: 2K Insider | Friday March 20 2009 Latest News - Once again, the news of the week was centered around injured players who will miss time while others returned to the court. Leandro Barbosa is out 1-3 weeks for the Suns with a banged up knee, but the good news is that it's only a bone contusion with no ligament damage. LaMarcus Aldridge is still feeling the lingering effects of a grade-one concussion suffered on Wednesday in Indiana. He's officially listed as day to day, so he should not miss extended time. Also hurt in the same game and out of the Portland lineup is French rookie Nicolas Batum, who sprained his left ankle. He's listed as day to day and could return within the week. The Boston Celtics sent two more players to the trainer's room this week. Ray Allen has a hyperextended elbow and is day to day while Leon Powe sprained his knee and will miss 2-3 weeks. At least Glen Davis returned after missing 4 games with a bad ankle. Cleveland's Wally Szczerbiak sprained his left MCL and is out 2-3 weeks. Both Sasha Pavlovic and Daniel Gibson will share his minutes off the bench. After being added to last week's Biggest Movers list, Richard Hamilton is now sidelined with a strained groin and is day to day. Carl Landry was shot in the leg early one morning in Houston after being run off the road by another driver. Luckily he will only be out 1-3 weeks and is thankful that he's still alive. Nets All-Star guard, Devin Harris, is out indefinitely with a sprained left shoulder and deltoid muscle. Keyon Dooling will log heavy minutes at the point until they can sign another guard to a 10 day contract. Caron Butler is sidelined with a sore hamstring and although he is listed as day to day, there's a chance they could shut him down since the Wizards' season is lost. Sacramento's Bobby Jackson could be done for the year with a fractured cheek bone which requires surgery. Warriors center Andris Biedrins is out indefinitely with a sprained ankle, which will be re-evaluated in 2 weeks. Devean George needs arthroscopic knee surgery which means he's likely done for the season. The Mavericks lose one of their best perimeter defenders as they try to hold onto the 8th and final playoff spot. Greg Oden is back for the Blazers after sitting out 15 games with a chipped bone in his kneecap. They're easing him back into the rotation, giving him limited minutes off the bench until he proves that he can handle more. Danny Granger returned to the Pacers from an 11 game absence due to a torn tendon in his foot. In his second game back, he posted 35 points, 10 rebounds and 2 blocked shots. The Thunder are glad to have Kevin Durant back, who missed 7 games with a severe ankle sprain. However, he has said that he doesn't feel like the ankle is at full strength so it's possible he may have to miss more games before the season is over. Beno Udrih missed 6 games with a foot injury, but returned to the Kings' starting lineup this week. Brandan Wright was out for 27 games with a dislocated shoulder, but was back for Golden State who have a thin frontcourt with Biedrins hurt.
Biggest Movers - Monta Ellis has had quite an up and down season, beginning last summer when he injured his ankle riding a moped and then lied about it to team officials. The latest chapter of his saga is a positive one now that he has regained his shooting touch. Over the last 4 games, he's put up 27.8 points on 0.573 FG%. Joe Johnson and the Atlanta Hawks are playing well, currently on a 7 game winning streak. In those 7 games, J.J. has averaged 26.0 points, 5.4 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 0.469 FG%. Vince Carter fell off the horse a month ago, but he's back in the saddle again. In 10 games this month, he's averaging 25.4 points on 0.465 FG% and 0.464 3P%. Way to turn things around after admitting his performance was "terrible" not long ago. Rashard Lewis has been bad ever since the All-Star break. This month, his shooting percentages have dropped to 0.385 FG% and 0.250 3P%. Renaldo Balkman has enjoyed an increase in playing time recently due to Kenyon Martin missing games with a back injury. Balkman is known for his energy, hustle and ability to crash the boards. Rasual Butler's minutes and production have increased each month this season in New Orleans. In March, he has averaged 16.7 points and 4.5 rebounds to this point.

2k insider: Here's an idea, instead of changing the shots give the users the abilities to change/edit our players shots for online. Now that would be entirely better than constantly bombarding you for signature shot changes. Also, Insider real gamers don't care about the generic shoes or the faces in the crowd, we care about how the game plays. I could care less who can be seen clearly in the fifth row if it causes my 2k cam not to function properly.
Caron Butler has struggled out the gate averaging 16.8 ppg on 0.397 FG% over 8 games. Perhaps he won't struggle as much when Antawn Jamison finally returns to the lineup.

Toney Douglas has provided the Knicks with bench scoring over the last few games. No doubt Mike D'Antoni is frustrated with Chris Duhon's lack of scoring this year.
